Tensar AR-G geogrid is a composite consisting of a stretched polypropylene grid and a purpose-made, non-woven geotextile. The two components are heat bonded to form a robust, easy-to-lay composite.
Tensar AR-G geogrid is supplied in rolls which are laid using a laying frame. Tensar AR-G geogrid should always be laid between 2 asphalt layers. The minimum overlay depth for Tensar AR-G geogrid is 70mm. Independent testing has shown that Tensar AR-G geogrid can increases the fatigue life of pavements with weak foundations by up to a factor of ten, reduces rutting by up to 70% and reduces reflective cracking in overlays making it well suited for both new road construction as well as repair to existing cracked road with the urban road network and for airport and sea port applications.
