GlasGrid® pavement reinforcement geogrids are a high strength self-adhesive reinforcement grid designed to control reflective cracking in asphalt concrete overlays on roads, freeways, bridges and car parks.
GlasGrid® reduces both thermal and stress-related cracking. Its self-adhesive application allows for quick installation and the fibreglass components account for its exceptional performance.The fiberglass grid is “sandwiched” between the levelling and surface courses of asphalt, and is designed to turn crack stresses horizontally and dissipate the stress. GlasGrid® helps retard cracking from reflecting through a new asphalt overlay to the surface.

GlasGrid® is a high strength, open fibreglass grid custom knitted in a stable construction and coated with an elastomeric polymer and self-adhesive glue. GlasGrid® is supplied in strengths from 50kN/m up to 200kN/m.
GlasGrid® is installed between 2 layers of asphalt. The existing asphalt surface should be clean and dry and all structurally distressed areas repaired. After rolling out GlasGrid® onto the prepared surface, apply tack coat and the paving operation can commence once the tack coat has fully cured. A minimum overlay thickness of 40mm is required when using GlasGrid®. This solution is well suited for council roads, highway applications, airports and industrial facilities.
