The Geoweb® Cellular Confinement system is the original geocell cellular confinement system developed by Presto Geosystems over 30 years ago for creating solutions to challenging soil stabilisation problems. The Geoweb® Cellular Confinement system significantly improves the performance of soils by confining and stabilising them through the high strength network of interconnected cells. The three-dimensional cellular system is an economic and effective solution to challenging soil stability problems in load support for unpaved roads, soil slope stabilisation, channel lining and vegetated retaining wall applications. The Geoweb® Cellular Confinement system cells can be filled with a wide variety of materials to meet the site specific technical and landscaping requirements.

Geoweb® Cellular Confinement system consists of the perforated Geoweb® Cellular Confinement system section manufactured from a textured polyethylene to maximise surface interaction between the cell and infill material as well as anchors and tendons to provide support on steep slopes. The polyethylene is UV stabilised to maximise the durability of Geoweb® Cellular Confinement system in exposed locations. The cells are formed through full depth ultrasonic welding of the polyethylene strips which are then tested to ensure they meet both the short-term and long-term peal strength test requirements.
The Geoweb® Cellular Confinement system can be installed to hold soil on slopes for slope protection as well as in channel lining applications. It is also used for load support of heavy equipment over soft ground and in retaining walls to form a vegetated face. The Geoweb® Cellular Confinement system panels are laid out and contractor friendly ATRA anchors and where required high strength tendons are used to anchor the cellular panes into position. ATRA keys are used to provide a full strength connection between adjacent panels of Geoweb® Cellular Confinement system. To complete the system a range of infill materials can be used including topsoil with various selected vegetation, aggregates from sand and gravel to larger stone and concrete of various strengths and finishes.
